Convention Code of Conduct

The Africa South Area Young Single Adult (YSA) Conference Committee desires for all YSA to attend and enjoy our 2022 convention. The convention should be a refuge from the challenges of the world and offer uplifting experience for all YSA. To ensure the YSA conference provides a refuge and uplifting experience, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has instituted the following safeguards.Involvement in any of the following and failure to safeguard yourself and your peers may result in you being asked to leave the conference. No refunds will be given if you are asked to leave the conference.

  • Participating in or encouraging immoral behaviour of any kind, which includes breaking the law of chastity and viewing pornography in any form.
  • Theft or vandalism of any kind.
  • Breaking the Word of Wisdom, including the possession of illegal substances.
  • Possession of weapons or firearms of any kind.
  • Doing anything harmful to yourself or others, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially or spiritually.
  • The conference organisers reserve the right to take photographs of conference attendees and post them on church approved websites and social media. Objections need to be sent to your unit leader who will let the conference organisers know.
